Quanta started as one student’s own revision tool for real Cambridge papers. It grew into a tutor that knows what each student is weak at, an examiner-accurate marker, and a dashboard that tells you who needs you this week.

Every student gets a tutor that watches what they actually do: which skills are weak, what they haven’t touched in three weeks, an unfinished paper from yesterday, and every deadline you’ve set. It turns all of that into one recommendation, not a list. Set an assignment and it slots itself into the queue on its own — no reminder emails from you.

The gaps it finds are skill-level, not topic-level. “Trigonometry” tells a student nothing. “You lose marks converting between degrees and radians” tells them exactly what to fix.

How it teaches

Knows when to ask, and when to just tell them

The same tutor that picked the task also teaches it. A tutor that only ever asks questions is exhausting when a student is genuinely lost. One that only ever explains teaches nothing. This one reads the moment and switches: a nudge when a nudge will do, a straight explanation when the student is stuck cold.

It’s tuned to the subject it’s marking, not a generic chatbot bolted on. Every conversation is saved against the question it came from, and every message is rate-limited so it can’t become a crutch.

Why this exists

Quanta didn’t start as a company idea. It started because one student, working through Cambridge past papers alone at night, wanted something that could tell him what was actually wrong with an answer, not just that it was wrong. He built it for himself first, mapped the papers by hand, and only later realised a whole class could use the same map. That’s still how every paper gets added today — checked by hand, question by question, against the real mark scheme.

You control the data

Where Quanta runs through your school, you're the data controller and we process on your instructions. A data processing agreement is available on request.

Two-click deletion, a real retention date

Students can delete their account and full record instantly; backups clear within 30 days. Inactive accounts are deleted after 24 months, with a warning first.

An AI tutor with a leash

Maths-only, rate-limited per student per day, switched off entirely in mock mode. Every conversation is visible to the class teacher.

No ads, no trackers

An account is a name and an email. No advertising, no third-party analytics, no selling data. Four named subprocessors run the app, listed in the privacy notice.

The full privacy notice is written to be read by a 15-year-old, not just a lawyer.
